Experience Using Cloudflare DNS
I don't know how long this blog has been using DNS from Cloudflare. The function of Domain Name Server (DNS) is actually the same, to connect with IP, so that the web can be accessed by users. However, Cloudflre is the best DNS for now, so access to this Blog only takes 4ms.
Cloudflare Advantages
I feel there are many advantages when using Cloudflare DNS, including:
- Faster access
- Can create Progressive Web App (PWA)
- Can create routes for custom urls like https://www.masrizky.sch.id/p/forum.html
- Can create email with your own domain
- dll..
Cloudflare Disadvantages
For now, I have not found a solution for the Blogger Contact Form when using Cloudflare DNS. Maybe some of you can provide a solution?
How to Use Cloudflare DNS for Blogger
Step #1
Please use Custom domain as usual on DNS management where you purchased your domain. After the domain is accessible, we will move it to Cloudflare.
Step #2
- Please register on cloudflare
- Once the registration process is complete, go to the Cloudflare dashboard and click Add a domain, enter the domain name and Continue.
- Then scroll down and select Free > Continue
- Wait until the DNS Scanning process is complete
- After scanning is complete, disable the proxied button then Continue to activation
Step #3
- After the activation process, go to DNS Management where you purchased the domain.
- Change Name Server, with NS provided by Cloudflare
Step #4
- Back to Cloudflare
- Clik Continue
- Then click Check nameservers now
Up to here we have finished setting DNS in Cloudflare, please wait for propagation until our Blog is finished moving its NS. Check the website can be accessed or not (usually during propagation it cannot be accessed). I myself for this tutorial only need between 1-2 minutes.
